#1 - Greek yogurt
"I eat Greek yogurt for breakfast." I hear this phrase quiet often when talking about breakfast eating habits with other people. .
The thing is, yogurt is healthy. Yogurt contains live bacteria cultures which are great for our overall gut health. Greek yogurt is even healthier! It has way more protein than other types of yogurt which helps keep you full for longer.
BUT...
Just because it has been labeled as healthy doesn't mean ALL Greek yogurt is healthy.
In reality, some Greek yogurt is actually BAD for you. So bad in fact that I would rather not eat it.
Here is what I mean.

Everyone knows vanilla is strawberry's less fun flavor cousin but... Same story, different flavor. By flavor, I mean sugar. Yogurt manufacturers understand we like things sweet. In fact all successful food manufacturers understand this. 20g of sugar per serving in the vanilla... Do you know what else has 20g of sugar per serving?
Plain
This is a HUGE difference!
The kind of difference that equals skinny or fat, healthy or diabetic, dead or alive.
Greek yogurt is healthy. It provides beneficial bacteria, and a good amount of protein.
Flavored Greek yogurt is NOT...
Bottom line: flavor it yourself.
